Oh, this was so my childhood/early teenagehood (and even certain situations continuing beyond that, heh). So many friends’ birthday parties where I would cling to them like a little lost puppy dog because I didn’t know any of their other friends. I knew it too, but I’d rather have been awkward than stuck with a bunch of strangers, lol.
